This was my first time going here. I had a great interaction with employee over the phone, who instructed me to come in anytime I wanted. I needed to replace break pads and rotors; also a brake light. Usually at other places, they take the whole day to do that--sometimes over night. Not this place. It was so quick I thought they didn't even do it at all. Excellent customer service and friendly people make this place my go-to for anything car related.

Updated from 2 to 4 stars. The total $ came out to almost twice the amount quoted without notice due to a performed procedure I explicitly asked them not to do because it’s easy enough to do yourself. What’s worse is that the problem wasn’t fixed the next day, so I had to take my car back after paying twice what I expected for an unfixed issue. This time, they were extremely gracious by fixing my car and even replacing the problematic part for free. I think my case might’ve been rare, and their customer service after realizing they messed up the first day shows they’re trying.

I called because a few other automotive shops suggested a diagnostic test when what I really needed was just a safety check … driving my car from CA to NV just wanted to be sure everything was in great working order. I called ahead and the young lady in the office asked me a few questions, one of which was “what is actually wrong with your car”? When I said “nothing” but explained I didn’t wanna get stuck in the desert, SHE said, oh, let’s just do a safety check for $95. 3 other shops we’re quoting me up to $195 for a diagnostic . When I took my car in yesterday, Kam was great. Checked me in quick and said it’d be a couple hours. My car was done in about 1.5 hrs, and I noticed they have a small discount for AAA members too! When I picked up my car, there wasn’t a thing wrong, except a high beam light that was out. Kam was kind enough to take it out, checked to see if they had one in stock, and when they didn’t, he told me if I went around the block to NAPA and picked one up … he’d be happy to put it in for me at no charge! Being a widow and living alone, he went the extra mile for me and the entire experience at Harry’s was quick, smooth, and enjoyable - as far as car issues go! I’ll definitely go back for other issues I may have and definitely refer them to friends and fam! Thank you so much!!!

That was not a good impression. I called to asked a/c repair. And I toll him that my friend who was introduced about your place. I was wait about 10mins and than they were hang up the phone. I called back and no one pick up the and go to the voicemail. I think , it might be the same to other customers, you probably won’t go to that place at all.

Would love to give a shout out for Charlie's help yesterday. Charlie was professional and made me feel good about my car drama. My car was towed to Harry's Auto yesterday. I live in San Francisco and I and my car broke down on the freeway in Pleasanton. It's hard to trust mechanics, however, Charlie was authentic and honest with what my problem was and that day I had to let an era to really amazing Volkswagen that I've had for over 20 years, RIP. Thank you Charlie and staff for making me feel better about my situation yesterday. Couldn't have done this without you.
